Dr Mr. Seligman:

I would like to express my appreciation to you for your telegram about the sudden death of Paul Grigaut. His loss, of course, is an irreparable one for us as well as for the museum profession. He shared many common interested with you and I know why he always looked forward to his visits with you.

Plans are going forward on schedule for "The World of Voltaire" exhibition, which now becomes something of a memorial to him. The exhibition catalogue will have to be issued in a more abbreviated form than we had hoped, but otherwise the exhibition will be very much as he had planned it.

In this connection, we enclose the acknowledgement of the receipt of the object which you have generously lent us. We are most grateful for your interest and participation.

Sincerely,
Charles H. Sawyer
