[[image]] SG [[\image]] July 28, 1968 Dear T - From our chat this morning and from the conversation you had with Grigaut, I assume that he is organizing a Neo-classic exhibition. Should this be correct, we have indeed a drawing - we may have others which I don't recall at present - which should fit their scheme. It is the P.P. Prud'hon, "Le Sceau de l'Empereur", which is, of course fully recorded in the Prud'hon book by Guiffrey. It is small, as you recall, and was intended as a sketch for a medal or a seal which, to my knowledge, was never carried out. The Gallery being closed, you will not be able to send him a photograph but if he is sufficiently interested, we could do so, of course, in September. Meanwhile he may be able to identify it in the Guiffrey book. You might also want to mention two David sketches - the two men blowing trumpets for the "Thermoplae" painting in the Louvre (on the right hand side of this large composition). The other David is of men running to the left of which I don't remember the title. My best to you, [[?]] Here in clipping -
