Dear Mr. Grigaut,

Though I realize that you are in the midst of organizing your exhibition of watercolors I hope you will excuse my writing on a completely unrelated subject.

In the course of one of our telephone conversations this Summer did you not mention that both you and Mr. Sawyer were interested in the painting by COUTURE - "Portrait of Baron PĂ©rignon"...? My memory has become so poor that I do not want to rely on it, yet my impressions is that you were going to have a meeting in this connection. I am just wondering whether there was anything further you expected me to do about it. Do blame my memory if I am erring.

May I take advantage of this note to thank you for yours of September 13 and I hope that in the meantime the four watercolors have reached you safely, that you are pleased with them, and that they will fit nicely in your show.

With warm regards,
Sincerely yours,
Germain Seligman
