Dear Mr. Grigaut:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation I take pleasure in indicating here below the valuations at which it is my understanding your Museum will insure the four watercolors Mrs. Seligman and I are happy to lend to your exhibition:

DORÉ, Gustave - "Vale of Tears" - $1,000. (ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS)
BARYE, Antoine - "Lion debout" - $1,200. (ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS)

LAMI, Eugène - "C'est à nous, votre Rhin allemand" - $600. (SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS)

LAMI, Eugène - "St. Paul and City" - $700. (SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS)

As agreed, they will be shipped by me, air express, on September 15 so that they will reach you in ample time. Bill for packing and shipping will be forwarded to you bye and bye.

I took the liberty of requesting you by wire to mention them in your catalogue as "Collection Mr. and Mrs. Germain Seligman, New York".

As for the dimensions of the DORÉ watercolor I was sorry not to be able to supply you with them over the telephone. The surmised ones were correct in proportions but not in fact as its sizes are 13" x 19"1/4 (sight).

The four photographs were air mailed, special delivery, yesterday, as promised, and I hope that they met the catalogue deadline.

Trusting your undertaking will meet with the great success that it will certainly deserve.

With warm regards,
Sincerely,
Germain Seligman
