Dear Mr. Selgimann,
I want to thank you for your kindness in receiving me during my recent visit to New York. Your suggestions were most valuable and we are now awaiting the results of the new inquiries.

At this time we would like to ask for the loan of the Charles Angrand, Farmyard, and the Claude Monet, Chaumière á Gueneville, for our exhibition. If the pieces are no longer in your hands, is it possible that the new owners might be willing to lend them?

The drawings should arrive here April 12. The exhibition runs from April 22 to May 29. A catalogue will be produced and therefore we would like to have photographs as soon as possible for which we will reimburse you. The Museum will pay all shipping and insurance charges and attend to the latter as you direct. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Charles Chetham

P. S. If you are able to lend one of your own Seurat drawings, we would be most happy to have it for the exhibition.
