Gentlemen:

You may remember me, as I was for many years Director of the Gallery in San Diego, and then of the Norton Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida. We have just opened a wonderful new building here, and are really going ahead.

For the month of January, 1958, we are planning a most important exhibition of still-life painting. It goes without saying, that what we are particularly interest in is having a Braque. Do you have one we could borrow for that exhibition? I may add that we have been trying to find an example that we could buy for our permanent collection, and are still just as much interested as ever. I would appreciate your letting me know by return Air Mail, whether we might expect such an example, and for the above-mentioned exhibition. Thank you very much.

If we can count on this, then I will give you all the details. Of course, we would be glad to take care of such expenses
as are involved.

Thanking you, and with kind wishes and the Season's greetings.

Sincerely yours,

Reginald Poland
