Dear Mr. Marino-Merlo:

Having received your Purchase Order 12843 this morning, I am attaching hereto our invoice for the five prints you have purchased. Though the number of prints on the order is correct, the Charles Quest "Nude Woman" has been omitted - but is included on our invoice.

We would like to make a gesture towards the collection you are building up, and therefore would like to know whether the following would be agreeable to you: Our next exhibition will be of a very exciting and able group known as the PRINTMAKERS. If you are in accord, we would mount the newspaper clipping you so kindly sent and attach a note thereto, saying that the gallery would allow a special reduction on any purchases made as gifts to your institution, and that the name of the donor would, of course, be sent you with the print purchased.

For your information, the PRINTMAKERS are all young artists whose work is as "modern" as that of the members of the GRAPHIC CIRCLE which includes the well known names of Albers, de Diego, Hayter, etc.. The PRINTMAKERS are Abrams, Forsberg, Haas, Hasen, Peter Kahn, Wolfe KAHN, Kursen, Moy, Reif and Rose, all of whom, we believe, will eventually be familiar "names".
