Dear Mr. Randall,

Following up our correspondence about the delightful ivory hand mirror, "The God of Love at the Siege of his Castle", and pursuant to your pleasant letter of March 1st, I am indicating here below the bibliography as it was specified on Mr. Henry Walters' invoice of December 1, 1928.

Reproduced or mentioned:
Lind, "Die Oesterreichische kunsthistorische Abteilung auf der Wiener Weltausstellung", 1873, p1. 22.
Schultz, "Des Hoflische Leben", t. I, p. 577.
Westwood, "Fict. Ivories", p. 468.
Koechlin, Raymond, "Les Ivoires Gothiques Francais", t. 2, p. 397, no. 1097.

Exhibited at:
Munich, 1876, cat. pl. LXXXI.
Gratz, 1883, album, fasc. IX, pl. IV.

I should hasten to say that I have not rechecked this data, but remembering how Mr. Walters was desirous of precise information, I have every reason to believe that these details were carefully gone over at the time.

With all good wishes,

Sincerely,

Germain Seligman
