Dear Mr. Gilbert,

Last May when you returned the drawings by J.L. David which I had sent to your University for your Board's consideration, you wrote that later in the year you might ask for the pair again.

They have been put aside pending your further advice and may I inquire whether Mr. Henry R. Hope and you are still in the same frame of mind?

You will understand that this is simply to know whether they have become available.

If on the other hand you would like me to keep the matter in abeyance a little while longer, I will be glad to do so without of course any obligation on your part.
