Dear Bob,
It was great hearing from you and I am sorry I have not let you know more definitely about the dates of the Picasso-Matisse show. They are as we originally planned, October 18 - November 11. McBrine will pick up the "Harlequin" and the cubist Picasso on October 14. I have not as yet heard from Mr. Gallatin and would appreciate it terribly if you could in some way find out whether he is agreeable to lending Picasso's "Three Musicians". The Matisse as I remember it is not as good as the Picasso and we would much rather have the Picasso.

Let me again tell you that you have been most helpful and I do appreciate all your cooperation.

As you know, Jim is not leaving. I am sorry for him but I am delighted for us.

Looking forward to seeing you very soon.
As ever -
Very sincerely yours,
Nat Saltonstall
President
