Dear Mr. Hamlin:

I regret to tell you that I find it will be impossible to have the exhibition of African art at Buffalo, as the owners tell me that they do not wish to arrange for any other exhibitions for the time being.

I am sorry to be unable to give you better news, but I can assure you I did my utmost in the matter.
