Dear Bob: 
Many thanks for your wire regarding the Kirberger portrait. It was terribly nice of you to reply so promptly and I hope it did not put you to a great deal of trouble. Would that everyone we communicated with for information were as cooperative! 
Hectic times are continuing in Cambridge in spite of the fact that the football season is over. I trust that you have quite recovered from the repeal party. 
I shall probably be down next month when i shall annoy you with some more foolish questions.
