Dear Bob:

I wonder if you could help me with a bit of information.

I have been asked if Boutet de Monvel is in this country and had to confess that I did not know. I boasted that I thought I could find out--now I am trying to do so to make good my boast.

Didn't Boutet de Monvel build a studio in Florida a year or two ago and doesn't he live there winters now? Will you or some of your scouts find out for me whether he will be there this winter or is he stuck in France for the duration of the War? A friend of mine possibly wants her portrait done by him--therefore all these alarums and excursions.

I was delighted to hear that you and Helen are safely back from the south seas.

I think Eddie's news is thrilling. I wish I could meet Miss Currier before they take off, but the chances seem practically nil. I begged to come to the wedding, but Eddie tells me only the families and the four Marx brothers will be present!

Always sincerely,
Agnes
