New York, N.Y. 10022

February 9, 1971

Dear [[strikethrough]] Mr. [[/strikethrough]] Dr. Weisberg:

It is good of you to have given so much time to my letter and let me thank you for your lines of February 4th.

That our drawing may have once belonged to Laurent Laperlier would indeed enhance its merit, and I hope that when you will delve further into the matter you will be able to ascertain this.

You ask about Mr. Vitale Bloch. I truly thought that he was internationally known as a [[strikethrough]] n [[/strikethrough]] Art Historian, though at times he parts with some of his acquisitions, for he has been writing extensively on a number of matters, and particularly on the Dutch School of the seventeenth century. Quite recently, he published an important article on Michael Swertz. The latter is mentioned in La Revue du Louvre, number 4-5, 1970, in the article, "Trois Nouveaux Tableaux Neerlandais au Musee du Louvre".

I do hope, as you so kindly suggest, that we will meet when you are next in New York, and I am much looking forward to this occasion. My wife and I are about to leave for the Caribbean, but we should be back in the first days of March.

With best personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
