Dear Mr. Francis:

When I went through Cleveland last night, it was too late for me to be able to call you up from the station, as I wanted to thank you for the great kindness of your reception when I was at the Museum, and also to find out if you had good news of your son. I do hope that he will recuperate quickly and that you will be relieved of the justified worries you have gone through.

If you are not too busy the next time you are in New York, I do hope you will give me the pleasure of spending an evening with me.

With renewed thanks and best wishes,
     I remain-

Yours very sincerely,
(C. M. de Hauke)
