ACTING AS AGENTS FOR THE CLARENCE H. MACKAY ESTATE

May 18th, 1940

Dear Sir:

We beg to enclose herein invoice in the sum of $27,500.00 for the two "Mourners" which you have purchased from the Clarence H. Mackay Estate.

As requested by Mr. Henry S. Francis of your Museum, whose visit we had yesterday afternoon, we shall deliver these objects to you in Cleveland Tuesday morning, instead of making shipment by Railway Express as we usually do in such cases.

We are arranging to have the Estate cover these articles in transit until they are delivered to you.

We wish to confirm that in agreement with Mr. Francis, you will reimburse us for our expenses in connection with this delivery.

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.

(O. A. Liechti)
