My dear Mr. de Hauke:

In your catalogue of the Pleurants from the Tombs of Philip the Bold and John the Fearless, reference is made on the title page and in the bibliography to the exhibition of the Pleurants at the Exposition d'Objets d'Art, Palais de Sagan, Paris, 1913. I quote from the bibliography: "Seymour de Ricci. Catalogue de l'Exposition d'Objets d'Art, Palais de Sagan, Paris, 1913. Page 8 Nos. 11-14". In our catalogue of the Exposition, with the same author and title,* I find that the Pleurants are on Plate II and are from the tomb of Jean Duc de Berry, while there is no reference to Pleurants from the tombs of Jean and Philip. Would you be so good as to look at your catalogue and see if there is some discrepancy in it as well? As far as I can make out, it was not your Pleurants which were exhibited there.

We would much appreciate any information which you would care to furnish on this subject.

Very truly yours,
