September 4, 1952

Dear Henry:

In answer to your letter of September 2, received a couple of hours ago I hasten to let you know that the Odilon Redon photograph brings no recollection to my mind.

I have had no contact with Valentine Dudensing since he left New York. I thus immediately telephoned two galleries - Curt Valentin and Knoedler in order to obtain his address, but this in vain.

I am sorry to be of such little help to you in this matter and am returning herein your museum bulletin.

I am delighted to read that Sherman Lee has joined your staff and do have my congratulations.

He is certainly a loss to the Seattle Museum, and please be so good as to give my best regards and good wishes to him in his new post.

The September bulletin of your museum has just reached me and once more may I congratulate your, particularly for the exquisite little Mantegna miniature, which I was so keen to own myself....!

With kindest thoughts,

Yours,

(Germain Seligman)
