Dear Mrs. Parker,

I wish to express my deep appreciation to you for lending to the exhibition "Thomas Couture: Paintings and Drawings in American Collections," held here from February 5 through March 15.

The exhibition was the first showing of Couture's work in this country and was very well received.

As some indication of the study it provoked, you will be interested to know that Michael Fried is writing on it for Artforum; Albert Boime, for the Burlington Magazine; and Elisabeth Stevens, for the American Art Journal.

The exhibition, and it's catalogue, would not have been possible without your generous cooperation.

Yours sincerely,
Marchal E. Landgren
