D 78th USCT. under the name of Eugene Berow, that he gave his discharge to a Claim Ag't in Carrollton, La, whose name he has forgotten and whose Receipt he has lost. Col'd Church, has a building, which will be used for school and church purposes, nearly completed. Request an appropriation of $3000 to assist in building a colored public school at Murfreesboro Tenn. | 1104  Office D O of Claims Murfreesboro Tenn. June 8/69. I resptf. recommend the favorable consideration of the within application. Murfreesboro is sadly in need of a good house for school purposes. The school now in operation under charge of Gen W Williams is certainly one of the best in the state. Money appropriated as applied for within will be a great benefit to the educational interest in Tennessee. States that in the schoolhouse occupied by Miss Couch, are some desks and benches, said to belong to the Bureau.
