States that about two (2) months ago the name of Dr B. R.S. Boemond was mentioned to Genl Howard as authority for a certain circumstance in Louisville. Maj Runkle objected placing any confidence in statements made by Dr Boemond, on the grounds that he (Dr B) had to leave Santa Fe N.M. to escape being hanged (or shot)
