Heard nothing to the contrary until the receipt of Genl Balloch's letter. |

Forwards letter of Berry Hall & George Wallace & others enclosing a petition of the Colored people of Milledgville Ga. to the Asst Comr of Ga, requesting that he will authorize the erection of, & furnishing a suitable school building with accomodations for from 300 to 350 pupils. With recommendation that the house be built. It would cost between $3000. & $4000 & cannot be built unless additional funds be allowed. |
