Sir,
On the 28th. of June I notified you per letter that the sum of Two hundred and fifty ($250 00/100) dollars would be expended by Mr Brown for making repairs on School house for Freedmen at Alexandria, Tenn. as contemplated in your communication to this office dated May 20th. 1869.

No reply has been received from you. Will you please inform me at your earliest convenience the cause of delay in forwarding the contract requested.
