I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communications relative to the interference with Mr. Barnetson, Teacher at Purdy, McNairy Co. Tenn. On my visit to Humboldt at the close of last month I had hoped to extend my journey as far as Purdy but my office business was such, that the necessary time could not then be spared.
