Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Geo. S. Taylor's application for aid from this Bureau to assist in the erection of a school house for freedmen near Tipton Tenn with your endorsement thereon.

Please inform Mr Taylor that the application will be approved at this office and transmitted for the action of the Commissioner provided the necessary land shall be located by that & (permanently) be limited for the purposes of education of Freedmen.

As we [[illegible]] from [[illegible]] it is desirable that the names of the teachers should be left off the papers entirely. Such a case will not [[?]][[?]][[?]] of the teachers of the school property.

Provided the above instructions meet the approval of Mr Taylor you will please cause him to have the deed made [[illegible]] and forward the same to this office for [[illegible]].
