paints get used up very fast, and every day necessitates come additional supplies for my commercial advertising on my out-door painting. This afternoon, we went up in the hill to the house where Jean [[?]] boards - the ship - hiddens - and painted the harbor through the trees. I got a rotten thing which I shall scrape out. 4- Katharine got a very nice thing indeed. A storm arose and I goaded Catharine into making a sketch of them; and though the effect we loved was soon gone between us we managed to remember it, and the result was excellent. This evening we went down to see the sunset on the harbor, and the effects were lovely -
