The minutes of the last meeting were read and unanimously accepted as read.
The Secretary, in the absence of the Corresponding Secretary reported the applications of the Institutions of Decorators and the Artists League of America for membership in Artists for Victory.

He also reported a letter from Mr. Sils of the Bombshell Group concerning the desirability of representing Negroes in War posters. Some generally favorable opinions were expressed on this subject, but no definite action was taken. Miss Todd pointed out the different cases in which this had been done.

Treasurer's Report, also for the Committee on Ways and Means: Mr. Crisp reported disbursements to date of $661.45, and a present bank balance of $765.56. To this must be added cash, which brings the total to $1135,28. This does not include the fund for the Sculpture Competition of $1820.00. He announced with great regret the negative reply from the Carnegie Corporation to Mr. Nichols' request. On motion duty made and seconded, the Treasurer's report was accepted.

Relations, Mr. Arms: New and important contacts have been made in Washington. Mr. Arms has finally succeeded in getting our purposes before Mr. McLiesh of OFF, who has given assurance of work for Artists for Victory in the future. Lt. Col. Saint Gaudens of the Camouflage Corps has nothing definitive to state at present, but sees that greater opportunities for artists are coming. Concerning the Exhibition and Competition for Posters at the Modern Museum, which is to be held jointly with the Council for Democracy, there is to be a meeting to-morrow, at which details will be settled. Mr. Arms reports
