The weekend of September 28 and 29, 1996 will be particularly wonderful. As you know, we are planning an evening reception for the participants of our Champions membership group on Saturday, September 28, and hope you will be our guest of honor. Following the reception, we hope you will be available to join some of the Museum family for dinner. On Sunday, September 29, there will be a family festival in and around the Museum from 11a.m. to 4p.m. We are hoping to focus on our talented youth during that time. There will be a group of young people painting en plain air on the green space surrounding the lagoons immediately outside the New Orleans Museum of Art. Additionally, there will be family art activities, music, French-style food and drinks, performance art and a literacy component to the Festival as well. It is our hope that you might agree to present a short program in the afternoon of the Festival in our auditorium. I know your fellow New Orleanians would be honored to hear about your experiences both in the United States and in France. We were thinking we might present some kind of a "dialogue" with you some time during the early afternoon of Sunday, September 29. If you are agreeable, we will work on the details and let you know what they are as soon possible in the hope that they will be acceptable to you. We will be happy to make your flight arrangements to and from New York, and arrange hotel accomodations for the weekend. Please let me know what you would like us to do. Sincerely, Sharon Litwin Sharon Litwin Assistant Director, Development
