An extraordinary array of drawings, [?], collages & weavings are to be shown at Hunterdon Art Center Nov 19- Dec. 17.
The show includes a collection of postcards
retrieved from the artists friends Grounds
far renewed  faith in a p.o. able to discern
their addresses, the cards are packed with
tiny ink drawings watercolors of for instance of "a mountain of water", and collages Tawney, Sawada &
Higa, the artist give in this exhibition an impression of brilliance and great originality as well as technical invention Normally associated with
large scale hangings, Tawney is considered an
almost mystic figure for having brought weaving
into the fold of high art. Here she presents a sculpture, "Cloud Series VI, 8 X 8 X 8 feet
of canvas and linen threads, made especially for this show. Her first big Cloud 30 X 15 X 5 feet is a G.S.A. commission permanently installed in the Federal Bldg in Santa Rosa Calif. last March
