the lovely lagunes - watching the lights of the city burn in the distance, if ever it is my fortune to cross the Atlantic again - I shall aim to spend some weeks at Venice - with pleasant friends - and when the moon is at its best. What nights we will have in that wonderful city. Why did you not tell me all about it. Oh Phebe how glad I shall be to be over more at home. I hear Americans talk about their own country seeming flat after European travel - and wonder what sort of house they can have. What can I do for you in Paris - command me in any thing - if you see the girls way Honest I can buy them at a first class manufactory - buttons something less
