Re: Container Corporation Advertisement GI-49-3-1964-PP

Dear Miss Ward:

The Marisol sculpture has been received here in Philadelphia and forwarded on to our client, Container Corporation of America, in Chicago.

It appeared as though one small section had been broken off, although it was difficult to determine whether this had been done in shipment. Also, one of the screws that held the sculpture to the box was missing. But, these are minor details, and we only report them to have them on record.

When we originally saw the sculpture, it was of a natural sand or terra-cotta color. We were indeed surprised to find that it had been sprayed with dark paint. In fact, we were quite disappointed that this had been done, as we felt that it lost some of its original quality. We would like to know why Marisol did this so that we can better explain it to our client.

We do not have a written interpretation. We have enclosed two forms -- one for this and one for some biographical notes. We would like to get this informations [[information]] as soon as convenient.

Thank you very much,

Sincerely,

Edward W. Warwick
