Re: Montage of Marisol Escobar

Gentlemen:

As attorneys for the Gotham Hotel, we are writing to you regarding the montage depicting musicians playing instruments by Marisol Escobar, which you have borrowed from the above hotel for a showing.

We are advised that you have sold this montage. We would like to bring your attention that the Gotham Hotel has a contract with Marisol Escobar wherein this montage was to be attached to the room identified as the L'Interdit for one year, commencing with April 1, 1963, and the Gotham Hotel had the right and option to purchase the said montage at the end of said year, at a specific price, as set forth in the contract.

We now make immediate demand that this montage be returned to the Gotham Hotel. Please advise us what arrangements are being made for its return.

Thanking you for your kind cooperation, and trusting we will hear from you by return mail, I remain

Very truly yours,

Irving Kirshchenbaum
