Dearest Flossy:

I am very sorry indeed that I haven't thankt you earlier for your two nice letters. I have been very ill and bedridden for some time.

It began with a bowel trouble and I stayed for one week at the Ford Hospital. Coming home I got Diverticulosis and lost gutte much blod. On top of that I fell from my bed. sleeping and my head hit an metal wastepaper basket. The hole face was covered with bruises. This happened some weeks ago and I have still some black spots on my face.
