Dear Shu:

Your note pleased me greatly; as I told Edith, it confirmed my opinion of you. I think that you made by all odds the best decision in a rather bewildering situation, and I know that you will not regret it.

Take it a step at a time and I think you will be fascinated by the things that develop.

Believe it or not, having retired several times I received a nice letter yesterday from a young lawyer Hood would probably recall as one of his contemporaries, asking if I would be available to advise in a litigation involving transactions between fiduciaries back in the twenties and thirties. They are turning to me because I went through those wars as a young lawyer and an embryo trust banker and am still alive to tell the tale.

I doubt that I will take on the job, but it is nice to be sought after.

We are hoping to spend some time in Connecticut in the spring and I do hope it will be possible for us to see you. Meanwhile with my best wishes and warm regards to you both. I am
