On a desk in my study stands a brass box, intended for a jewel-case. Mrs Thompson picked it up years ago in a second-hand shop on Royal St. in New Orleans. It is an old affair. On top of its lid lies a sleeping (statuette of) Pan singularly effective. See the rough sketch of it inclosed.
