George Nakashima, Woodworker
New Hope, Pennsylvania

Dear Mr. Nakashima:
You will surely not remember me, but in August, 1955, you designed several units specially for my husband, Harry Sions, and me for use in the apartment we then occupied at 2101 Walnut Street - two blocks west of where I now live alone. Mr. Sions died tragically several years ago.
The dining room table and two sliding door chests you made for us were always our delight. The larger, longer chest served as a receptable for all our china, silver and linens and the smaller, which rested at one end on the edge of the larger, served as a bar. The dining room table seated eight, with short drop leaves and piano doweling which, I believe you said, was the first time you had done this and was at my suggestion.
The purpose of this letter is to ask your advice about the possibility of disposing of at least the dining room table. It is in good condition, although possibly could stand a good professional rubbing down. I am planning to move shortly from this large apartment, which has a full dining room, and moving to a much smaller place which has no dining room and only a ver small dinette.
Would you or someone you know possibly be interested in purchasing this table? Would you have any suggestion as to its worth at this time? A good deal of ordering and buying succeeded out receipt of these pieces, including purchases by the Frank Zacharys, Dr. and Mrs. Pearson (he, too, has died), etc. I do not want to donate the table to charity or sell to a dealer, but if you had any thoughts on ways and means of disposal, I would appreciate hearing from you.
With all best wishes for your good health and regards to Mrs. Nakashima and the children who surely are grown, probably married, etc., I am

Sincerely,
Louise Lux-Sions
(Mrs. Harry Sions)

P.S. If you prefer to call, the number is 561-7624. Thank you again.
