Mr. Charles Smiley
Vice-President
Hershey Chocolate Company
Hershey, PA 17033

Dear Charles:

Marion and I both appreciated the gift of Hershey chocolate, and we were sorry that you wereuunable to make it to our party that evening when you were in New Hope. We wondered if arrangements could be made to purchase more of this, as gifts to take to Japan, for which we will be leaving shortly to arrange a large show in Tokyo. This will be our fifth there, and they are well received. The question of gifts is a very important Japanese custom to take to friends and relatives when one visits, and we have thought that your product would be just the thing. If this can be arranged, would you please let me know, as we are not able to obtain this product locally.

Sincerely yours,

GKN:AJG
