Sir:
Referring to your endorsement of the 15th instant,forwarding telegraphic application of Brevet Captain J. Murray Hoag, 1st Lieutenant, unassigned, to be ordered before the Retiring Board at Atlanta, Georgia, I have the honor to inform you that selections of officers, for retirement, have been made which will fill the retired list to the limit allowed by existing laws.
