States that he thinks that they will favor the Comr's proposition to put $8000. at Columbia S.C. and $5000 at Augusta Ga. that a friend of the freedmen has given them $5000. and desires to know if the Com'r will duplicate it.  Asks the Com'r to try and squeeze out $5000. more to put the building in order for the winter school term.
