General:

It having been ascertained that a copy of the General Statement of Provisions Issued, and of Payments made on account of the same, in South Carolina, up to May 31st 1869, with which you requested to be furnished when here, is on file in your Office (its receipt having been acknowledged) by direction of His Excellency, Governor R K. Scott, I have the honor to now forward, herewith, an additional statement of all monies which have, up to this date, been found to have been paid, prior to August 1st, 1869, not recorded in the aforesaid General Statement.  Any other payments of this kind, hereafter discovered, will be promptly reported. 

A further statement, of payments made subsequent to August 1st, 1869, when I was placed in charge of the general collection, will, as soon as it can be prepared, be submitted.
