I have the honor to request your attention to the fact that, the total expenditures, from this office, chargable to the allowance of $25.000 to Va. for rental, repairs and construction of school buildings, from Sept 1st 1869 to June 30th 1870, have been as follows, viz:

For Rents to January 31st 1870. $5.807.26
For Construction & Repairs [[strikethrough]] do [[/strikethrough]] $7.803.41
$13.610.67

I would again urgently request attention to my communications of January 22nd  & 29th. and Feb 2nd 1870 - (Four in all) yet remaining in the office of the Commissioner.
