I will give you a true statement of the case  I would not do this but for your last order putting us out of the house and braking up our good school the only Freedmen school that was dooing any good in this part of the countery  The order was as Mr Brown and the [[?]] agent got from you and red to the Trustees was for them to put us out of the house and turn over the house to mr Brown to teach a school and for them to sign a petition to that affect or they would be put out of office and they were forsed to sign a paper contrary to their wish by your order and we are turned out contrary to the wish of the Trustees and the wish of the people and School goes down
