Freedman's Bureau
A young colored lad in this city by the name of John R. Banks is anxious to obtain some tidings of his Mother whose name he says is Chris Banks, and from whom he has not heard for 8 years - When he last heard from her at that time eight years ago, she was at [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] the Freedmen's Bureau on Mason Island Georgetown - He came to this place with Major Addison Hosmer now a counsellor at Law in Washington D.C. Any information you may be able to give will be gratefully received by him
