He "dispatched" two negro men to the Country to hunt two negroes, by the name of Anna Jamison & Anderson Wood and bring to that place to secure them pay &c. On the 3rd or 4th day one of the men brought in Anderson Wood, but Anna could not be found.

I do not know the amount of the claim of Anderson Wood, but as I have never known any bounty for less than $100-, suppose his to be at least that amount. He paid him but $40- in the presence of ten negro men. Samuel Bibb and Charles Bibb, brothers, the name of the two men he had "dispatched" previously for the claimants.
