Sir:
I respectfully request a list of persons employed by the Government in your Dept. and its bureaus who are charged to the District of Columbia. 
As I am to a certain extent held responsible for appointments made from the District I think it but fair I should know the names of persons thus appointed.
I desire the name, date of appointment, by whom recommended.
