I have the honor to forward herewith my reports of Receipts and Disbursements on a/c of Bounties &c for the months of August, September, October & November A.D. 1871. I trust you will pardon my delay in this matter. About the middle of August General Gregory started on his summer trip leaving me in charge of his office and did not return until the 8th of September or the 9th He came to the office for a few moments, and was not out of the house again and with the care of him and the office
