War Department,
Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands.
Washington, Sept. 13th, 1865.

This is to certify that I have carefully examined the physical condition of Isaac Craig (colored) Aged 70 years, & find him suffering from Otorrhea. I find also several scars upon his head, & swellings accompanied with pain upon pressure, on the right side of the body, which are apparently the result of injuries received within a recent period.

He states that the above mentioned injuries are the result of a violent personal assault which was made upon him, on Aug 15, 1865, & in my opinion his present condition is such as would be produced by that cause.
