think is plenty here in the place; but, pretty high prices rule. I have done about all I can for you at this time.
It has been so dark I could scarcely see to write, some of the time, while penning these lines, so please excuse.

P.S. There has been a vast amt of opposition against the colored schools here on the part of the white citizens. I think this is rather wearing away. My opinion is the white people are rather arousing themselves in the cause of education. Well, they may lest the blacks outstrip them in the race.
