OLIVE RUSH - - A LIVING LEGEND

Only recently did Olive Rush put down her brushes and push away her easel. She is now in her 91st year and, as you know, most of these have been devoted to her creative interpretation of nature, of people, and of the real and imaginary world in which she lived. For almost half a century her generous, indomitable spirit has radiated through the old adobe house on Canyon Road that has been her home and her studio.

Now Olive is confined to her bed, and is no longer able to arrange for the sale of her paintings, although many inquiries have been received concerning their availability. With her consent and the assistance of her neice, Elizabeth Beasley, members of Friends Meeting are attempting to help her by taking over this responsibility.

To do this, we have catalogued and priced all the paintings in her studio that are for sale, and we are now sending this announcement to a selected list of relatives, personal friends, and art patrons before making it public.

If you are one of those who would like to buy one or more of Olive's paintings or sketches, please telephone any of the following persons, who have offered to act as co-hostess with Olive, and arrange an appointment at her studio, 630 Canyon road.
