buy while stock is high & sell when low !? 

What is this art? This thing for which we give our lives - for which we deem no personal sacrifice too great? There must be something in it -  something beside money! Something that makes men value it higher than they value anything else. This sounds rash - for think [[crossed out]]way [[/crossed out]] of politics [[crossed out]]???[[/crossed out]] think of generals - of millionaires, [[crossed out]]though[[/crossed out]] they seem quite unconscious of the fact. By what standard at last is any country valued? What is the glory of ancient Egypt? It is her art - of Greece - ancient China, medaeval Japan, Persia, Italy - medaeval Euro[[cut off]] their poetry, painting, sculpture, architecture - these fruits are they known - 
What is this art? this one activity that "Time cannot wither, or custom stale."

It isn't because these lives reminded me of anything in wa[[cut off]] that they made me weep when first I read them. It is they carried me once again into that home of the soul f[[cut off]]
